If you wish to bring about changes in your life, you must first learn do things differently
Consider the possibility that we come into this world with an amount of pre-programming built into our core being. That new born children appear to automatically know more than the previous generations. That a baby spider can make a web without being shown how, baby ducks follow their mother and swim for the first time without lessons. All signs of what could be described as a collective knowledge or awareness. These events are examples of morphic resonance and morphic fields. Rather than trying to explain this I depth here, I will leave you to research the topic further if you wish to know more.
Memory of nature
This process is something that biologist Dr Rupert Sheldrake suggests in the theory he published in the early 80s describing it as memory of nature.
‘According to the hypothesis of formative causation, all self-organizing systems, including crystals, plants and animals contain an inherent memory, given by a process called morphic resonance from previous similar systems. All human beings draw upon a collective human memory, and in turn contribute to it. Even individual memory depends on morphic resonance rather than on physical memory traces stored within the brain. This hypothesis is testable experimentally, and implies that the so-called laws of nature are more like habits’ – Dr Rupert Sheldrake
While his work lacks mainstream acceptance and has been characterized as pseudoscience, personally I find his theory not only makes sense, but also explains many things that I have observed without understanding fully. His research puts forward a beresulted in what i referred to now as livable argument of why life appears to evolve in a certain way and why influences can be almost infectious in their adoption and spread. A study of a colony of monkeys was conducted in the 1940s and known by the name of the ‘The one hundred monkey effect’ demonstrated what is referred to as the effect of a morphic field and something that you may choose to research.
I will try to provide some insight to the terms Memory of Nature and Morphic Fields. A flock of starlings fly in a mass performing acrobats, turning, diving, and ever changing direction without colliding into each other, this is known as murmurations. They fly in harmony and with precision, moving instinctively, knowing where and when to change direction, height or speed. This is the effect of a Morphic Field and a collective consciousness allowing the birds to synchronize their behavior. Similarities can be observed in other species including our own. The Memory of Nature can be illustrated in that a baby spider can weave a complex web without the need to be shown by it’s mother; ducklings are able to follow their mother into the water and swim without lesson. These are both examples of the Memory of Nature. Also in the way that a handful of seeds can all create the same shape and size leaf and plant, bearing the same flower, fruit or vegetable, through an organized and pre-programmed structure within every seed.
Do things differently
With all that in mind, I suggest that society will also have programmed the way in which we interact with the world, only not in such a natural way and an imposed or subliminal learning – hence the need for me to write this article!
To instigate and create the change you seek, you will need to rethink how you act and carry on your daily life if you wish to instigate significant changes in your life. Learn how to think and do things in a different way, not repeat your early programming, break old habits and open up your mind to new and greater possibilities. Start new connections in your mind and new thinking by your actions and intentions to develop how you desire your life to become.
If you start your day thinking negatively with thoughts such as: life has been unfair to me, why do things always seem to happen to me, I’m stuck in the same old job, I do the same things everyday, I’m so unhappy with my life – that is the life you will create and continue to have by thinking and saying those things. If you wake up, being happy that you’re alive, being grateful for the things you have, happy with whatever love you have in your life and go about your day with a positive outlook, that can be the life that you create for yourself, from positive and clear intentions in your mind and thoughts.
That may not sound so simple if you’re in a bad place, or have terrible things happening in your life, but somehow you need to find a way to begin to have more positive and brighter thoughts. There are many ways we can use periods of time to think about that, in meditation or just relaxing; before we go to sleep is one of those opportunities that can use to begin to use this technique. Perhaps, introducing thoughts like: What if… I had a better life, nice things can happen to me tomorrow, my life will get better, I will have a happy life. Also, to think about the things you don’t want in your life too, ‘I won’t live in the past anymore, I don’t want to be sad or depressed anymore, I don’t want to do a job I hate’, for example. Create images in your mind with a true desire, imagining how that reality would make you feel. Repeat the process as frequently as possible and take note of any positive changes that begin to happen in your life. You may just find that you can have an impact on how your life works out and not be the victim of your circumstances and negative thoughts for the rest of your life.

So true Dear, what we focus on truly does expand. In my doubting thomas ways of old, I put this to the test again and again. Each time I would focus on negative ideas, actions and imaginings, the quantity of negative events in my life increased every time. When I simply imagined good and fun things, and felt as if THAT was my truth, they started showing up too!! Now days, I am surrounded by people who love and respect me and good happens every day!! Yeah, a few bumps happen now and then but the good definitely outweighs the… Read more »

Very true. It takes a huge effort to start to try to turn things around, but at least a small start might begin to change things a little and then the next step a little easier and then the next and then the next until you begin to get momentum.
Hi Erin, Yes you are correct by suggesting that you need to exert huge effort to turn things around. Sometimes, moments of great adversity in your life can do the same, any situation that forces you to change your behaviour , thinking and perspective on life and you in it. But if this is self instigated, it requires a lot of efffort as anything worthwhile will do. Focus, repetition, committment, courage and determintation, but we are talking about our lives here! So, why shouldn’t we devote great energy to ourselves and our lives? If you believe that you deserve a… Read more »
