Hello sisters,
I need some help I am just figuring out what’s going on with me. Let me back up I have always felt like I was born in the wrong sex, I have been in denial for so long and now I am embracing this and I figured if I ever want to get HRT I need to see a shrink. I’m ok with that I WANT TO but here comes the issue my masculine carrier is a over the road trucker (key words over the road). I have contacted many therapists and they all inform me I need to be in the state I live in to do ANY therapy. Well I’m only home for a max of 40 hrs a week and that’s on the weekends. I am a complete wreck now, I’m moody, angry, and more depressed then I’ve been in a very long time. I am looking for advice please.
thank you sisters.
Bobbie, I know I have heard others in the chatroom discussing online therapy. I have never used it, so I can't be of much help in how that works. But check the chatroom and ask around in there. And if I hear someone bring it up, I will try to remember to check for you and update you. And there are actually several truck drivers that are members here. Michelle
Hi Bobbie, have you considered a change of career? Do u need to be on the road? Could you settle down in an office environment perhaps at the depot in your home state? Being settled and able to focus on your transition is vital as much as an income. As you can appreciate, one must be totally committed in transitioning, meaning you do what needs to be done for your happiness. Best wishes Bobbi darling🙏

Bobbie:
I am somewhat surprised that current location appears to be more significant than permanent billing address. Perhaps you might press someone a bit and ask for the specifics. Sometimes it may not be a specific requirement, but something that makes the processing easier for someone.
Also, the Psychology Today magazine has a searchable database of therapists on their web site. There may be some that you haven't checked yet. Have you asked about the possibility of Saturday hours? Might be worth a shot...
