Perhaps my reflections are more helpful to me than to you, my dear sisters, but I like to share them from time to time.

Sometimes I feel like they are just a way to pass the time, but in the end, they release a lot of my emotional baggage. Perhaps because of the way, all things considered, earthquakes releases energy stored inside the Earth. Although I may sound pretentious, I recognize that, at times, I can be a bit more complicated than the planet itself.

Around noon I wrote elsewhere some reflections I wish to share here. I've been reading material that made me feel like the whole world was trying to crucify me too. Even though I am not so important to be conspired against.

This is my humble garden. I never promised you a rose garden. You could be crowned with rose thorns.

Roses are a valid metaphor for life. We must accept what life offers us as a whole, with its advantages and disadvantages, its easy achievements and its more complicated ones, it's joys and sorrows.

@firefly Gisela, that is such a beautiful way to put our lives in perspective. Heaven knows all of humanity could do with a healthy dose in introspection from time to time. A time to just disconnect and reflect upon our own lives and our interactions with all around us. A bit of dusting out the cobwebs that seem to accumulate and cloud our path forward. Hugs

Perhaps it's our nature as transgender people to often turn to introspection. After all, we typically spend a lot of time in our own heads sorting through the myriad thoughts as we seek to find our truths.

And, especially at this time of year as we see and hear many references to Easter, to re-birth and to the persecution that proceeded it, self-reflection is a natural outcome even if one is not religious. Add to that the governmental persecution that abounds against us and others and you have the "perfect storm" leading us to wonder if we, too, are to be metaphorically crucified.

Like you, though, I chose to focus not on the crucifixion but, rather, on the re-birth. Whether it is our greater transition or just the daily changes we make in life that allow us to grow, to become, to realize our truths and our happiness, change is inevitable and positive change our "savior."

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You make me re-focus on what is truly important and on the many blessings I have had in my life. The journey continues.

Much love,

April ❤️

I appreciate your interesting contributions. The most important thing is that we have each other here to accompany and support us along the way.
