When I was about 6 or 7, I had a favorite doll I would play with constantly. I would brush its hair, dress it up. My sister would sometimes take it from my so I would do her hair.. My mother was concerned. Neither of us understood the meaning of it. Did you have a favorite doll as a child?
I grew up in a house full of boys. The closest thing to dolls I had were stuffed animals and an Evel Knievel action figure. Destroyed the Evel Knievel figure. Still have stuffed animals.
Yes it was JohnJo. A baby boy doll. It was my sister's really. But we all loved him. I had a Teddy of course.
At night I'd round up all the dolls, teddy and kangaroo tucked them in while I squeezed into the edge of bed.
My Mother was very amused.
I played with boy toys too, guns and things. I wasn't stereotyped.
