My radio show for KFAI, Gender Radio, was approved today!! I’m so excited, yay!! I have an hour to play our music, interview our service providers, read book excerpts to our kids and advertise other services to our community. It’s going to air during Twin Cities Pride on June 23rd. I’m stoked!

Check out "Fresh Fruit" sometime. It's the longest running LGBTQ radio show in America. Gender Radio will be for Trans, Non-Binary, Gender Non-Conforming, Two Spirit, and Intersex folx and it will always center POC. This is the pilot episode. I hope to get it a regular 2 hour slot someday. There's an opening for a show Midnight-2 am right now but I'm not sure I want it(I could pre-record it). I have a segment for Trans kids where I read them an affirming book excerpt. I'm not a parent but I'm pretty sure kids are asleep by then, ha ha.
Who knows with todays parenting. Maybe older teens. By the time I was 15 I was staying up til 1AM to go get newspapers and deliver them.
I used to deliver newspapers, too! I had a daily route when I was 9 then delivered the weekend through high school with my parents. I know here one has to be at least 18 to deliver them now. I agree, though, that the time slot probably doesn't matter so much especially when it can be streamed. It would just never be able to be live. Still at maybe with that.
