I don't know if this belongs in this forum, but I wasn't sure which one it would be best in, so if I'm wrong please let me know.
I finally got a prescription of Testosterone from the Endocrinologist last Tuesday (August 13, 2024) and since I was busy I tried to pick it up on Thursday, though they were having technical difficulties and the computers were down. I had to go back on Friday (August 16, 2024), and that's when the incident occurred. I asked for my prescription (since it had been faxed in) and I paid for it ok. Since the medication is new they asked a pharmacist to come over and explain it to me. She was awkward and flustered to the point that she no longer knew the best place to inject the medication, what needle I should use, how to explain injections, and refused to give the injection herself and claimed that it was company policy that this medication could not be injected by a pharmacist. Then as she is saying this she is holding my meds and looks very reluctant to pack them up for me to take home. Eventually I decided to take my medication without any needles/syringes and book an appointment with my family Dr. luckily my usual clinic is very practiced in giving HRT shots and they are giving me my shots and teaching me till I feel comfortable injecting myself.
Just wondering, has anyone else had a similar experience?
Hi Lir. I am sorry to read about your experience. It is a disgrace that such things still happen. Unfortunately, there are people who have been left behind in time.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. Though I did find it a bit odd that she didn't appear to be much older than me.
