My passion, My life, My Way!!

What is your passion, your life or the way you live?
I do what I do because I enjoy it. For me, it's not about money but rather about living my passion. When I think back, I have been a mechanic for 45 years and met thousands of people of which the most I remember are the ungrateful ones. Why? Because those are the people who highlight your flaws or your failures. The happy ones always come back for more. Funny to think about it, I wasted 45 years on building knowledge and experience that I do value, but it prevented me from living my passion to the fullest. I'm doing my BA Psychology degree now, imagine where I could've been if I had the opportunity when I left school. Life threw me some severe curveballs. A path of destruction, self-blame and ultimately self-harm, but I also believe in not dwelling on the past. All the what-ifs that bothered me turned from what if I had to what if I just go for it, no matter my age. I once had a religious discussion about doing something as a transgender woman and another preacher asked me, why are you or why do you want to do it, and without thinking the words came over my lips, Why not me? He had no answer. Today I'm happy, I struggle financially, studying and getting my practice setup but I still manage my support groups. So, my point is, stop dwelling in the past and stop asking yourself what ifs and instead, think about the why not me. If you get to that point ask yourself, "Why not me, setting my destiny?" and then set your goals, one at a time but in the end, you will reach that destiny. That is voluntary but payment is the satisfaction of seeing another human being happy and smiling. I live my passion, one day at a time. Your destiny is what you create and set for yourself and how you get there is a decision only you can make.

So well said. We all I think get our share of curve balls  some more severe than others  it sounds like you’re on the right track  like they say it’s not where you line up. But where you wind up  keep pushing forward  you will get there  🧜‍♀️

I loved this post, Cathy, and I thank you for sharing it with us. It is very true. Everyone is capable of building their destiny. It is important to establish where you want to go. One day at a time.
