I remember reading this awhile back, and thought, 'yep, that pretty much sums up a lot of things'. I kinda suspect you may take the same thing away that I did.....
From the What am I? Article by Winter Clark: "I am not a celebrity nor am I an actor, singer, painter, author, or journalist. I am not a social blogger or vlogger; I am not a prominent volunteer or a politician. It’s not likely that I’ll paint a picture that people line up to see, or write or perform a song that people will rush out to buy. I will never invent an item or discover a cure that will change the world. I am not a parent, nor am I someone that family comes to for support or advice.
I have never done anything those around me will remember after I am deceased. I blend into the shadows and stay out of the public eye; I am the person you walk by without notice in the crowd. Some say that I am a natural leader, but it is never by choice, it is always circumstance that thrusts me into the role. I am more comfortable with my pets then I am with most people, and I am content with that."

I agree, with one exception. My sons, they adore me. I was a stay at home parent. My wife had the big job. I was lucky enough to be with them. They are the successful people. I'm merely the enabler.
They make fun of me but I encouraged that. I was a leader and mentored many a young man who went on a successful career . But I personally never succeeded.
I'm comfortable with that
- Absolutely, yes isn't that what we all want? My problem is that we sometimes, I know I did is to want success without really understanding what success is. You seem to get it.
My success isn't the success I expected. I married despite being trans. I was escaping it. I tried hard.
But I got my dream job and after that I found myself staying at home with two small boys, basically a housewife.
- "For me, being a success is being able, at the end of each day, saying 'yes' to the question; "am I a better person for what I have done, and learned, today?"
The answer is yes. I am so lucky.
