Hey my name is Aidan, and I am just starting this journey into transitioning. I’ve known since a very young age that this is who I was meant to be but I live in a small town with small minds, so I’m sure it isn’t going to be an easy road ahead but I know what I have to do. I’m tired of living a life that isn’t truly mine.
I’m looking forward to getting to know some new people and hearing about others experiences.
Hi Aidan and welcome to TGH. You are not alone. Pennsylvania has some amazing support networks that may be of help to you. I live in a rural community in a very conservative part of Virginia, yet I have had no issues so far having been fairly cautious about how I conduct myself. Transition is for everyone around us too and baby steps are the mantra we advocate. I know you will find friendship and support here. Feel free to ask any of the moderators if you have questions.

You have found a safe and loving community here on this site. You might even find someone here who lives near you and become friends. There are members in various stages of transitioning and members still finding their own way along the journey to self discovery. But we all feel that we were born as the wrong gender and look to remediate that in one form or another.
