Hello Ivar, and welcome to the forum. I'm 72 years old, so I don't know how much we'll relate, but I'll try.

There is a lot of support here, and I'm sorry, if you live in the US, about all the hassles that some states are giving young transpeople. I live in Florida, and it's almost illegal to be Trans here. It's gone fascist.

But, enough of that. I see your interests, and we share one. I like naps. I don't get one every day, but I try.

I'm a retired hospice nurse and environmentalist. I teach adults and kids how to make music on the ukulele, and play in an all girl band.

Good luck on your journey! And remember, transition never ends. Life is a work in progress.

Hi Ivar and welcome to this site my name is Helen I live in UK I was late in life before I realised I was female in a males body I started cross dressing.when I was 75 and realised it was too late for me to do anything about it. I support this site and the girls and guys are wonderful. They will help you with good advice and help.

As you may have discovered, this is a world-wide forum and you’ll find folks here from questioning their gender identity to those who transitioned years ago and all points in between. With such a large group there is a wealth of experience to tap into.

Please complete your Profile page. It goes a long way towards providing information so that others can understand your situation better.

You can do a search to find other members that may be close to you. Click on Social in the menu and then Member Directory. I think it is almost always better to purposefully contact people rather than waiting for someone to contact you.

It is also helpful to be connected to the trans community is your area, or at least someplace relatively close. We are social creatures and being part of a group of people with a similar mindset is always helpful. Isolation is such a negative force in our community and anything that we can do to prevent that is a very good thing. You may not have to be that close physically as many organizations started doing online support and social gatherings when people couldn’t meet due to potential COVID exposure. A number of organizations have continued to offer online gatherings as it is a way to address scheduling or transportation issues for those who want to attend.
