I'm Steffanie, I have been crossdressing for as long as I can remember. Recently I realized my true self is Steffanie. Β My wife is somewhat accepting, but is still processing the realization, which is appropriate. I am also starting therapy to wrap my head around the realization and to walk through next steps. Iβm excited and terrified all at the same time.
I'm hoping to meet others in the same situation!
I was very after some initial problems we worked out our problems. It did cause a great deal of heart ache. 6 years later she supports my transition.
Give your wife the time and space she needs and hopefully all will work out.
It sounds like you're in the right frame of mind, Steffanie. I know that when I was beginning my transition, I was both excited to see what was coming and also feeling terrified of what could happen. Admittedly, I probably had the easiest transition possible, since it just involved HRT and no surgery seemed to be needed for me to fit in as a woman. This was fortunate, since my health situation made any kind of surgery inadvisable. /shrugs In any case, I would be glad to talk with you if you'd like it. π
