I am on a journey to find out who I really am, and that journey has led me here. I am 50 years old and, not by my choice, recently divorced. This has given me the freedom to explore this part of myself that I have kept hidden, but am in desperate need of help and guidance. I recently purchased a couple of dresses and some leggings to begin, but when I look in the mirror I hate what I see. I will be most appreciative of anyone who can steer me down the right path!

Hello Dave! Thank you for being here and telling us about some of your situation and concerns. We hope you have had a good holiday season so far! With your concern of not liking what you see, you may need to figure out what it is you don't like and if there is more than one part of it that makes it that way. Say for instance it could be your hair that doesn't look right. Is it the color, or the length, or the style or shape of it? Each of those things can be changed separately to make it the way that looks good to you. Sure its a bit of trial an error but you can get there. It can also help to find a good wig or styling salon that can help with suggestions and options of styles and colors to try right in their salon.
These are just suggestions but you can see how you can break down what you don't like and change smaller parts of it to make it more like you want. The same can be accomplished with body shape or clothing style. And other people here can offer suggestions and help. Take it at your own pace and you'll get there! Figuring out your alter ego's name can be helpful too. So that you can figure out what you want her to look like! Let us know how you're doing and have fun with it! We're happy to help! Take care. Thank you, Steffanie!
The truth is, I have no sense of style!! π
However, I have begun to look around my social media apps and paying close attention to what others are wearing and making note of garments I like. π
Iβve started making connections with others living nearby and am hoping some will be willing to take me under their wing!
hope you have a fabulous new years!! Heather (aka Dave)
Dave/ Heather, thank you for your comments. It sounds like you have a plan that can work and you'llΒ get it figured out. Friends can be a big help with what looks good even when you may think it'sΒ not so good. Good luck with your journey and IΒ hope you have a wonderful new year with the new "you"!
