Hi everyone. My name is Gweneira or Gwen and I'm six months transitioning. Until everything that has been going on in the world I just considered myself a crossdresser but I've had a lot of time to think and I'm approaching 50. My biggest hurdle about transitioning has been my hair or lack thereof but I decided that if I could wear wigs while crossdressing then I could manage as a woman. I hope to be active here more than I was in Crossdresser Heaven. I've also abandoned my old crossdresser name as it no longer fit me.

Gwen:
Glad you could join us! I trust that being here will be helpful as you continue on your journey.
I don't have much hair either. When I lived in New York State, before I retired, I did wear wigs. That worked OK, but my wife had to help me put them on as I have reduced range of motion in my shoulders, elbows and wrists due to arthritis. Several months before I retired (January 2016) I discovered hats and that continued when we relocated to the SoCal desert. Even with some summer days at 122F, I think a hat or baseball cap is still better than a wig. It has even become a "thing" as to some I am known as The Hat Lady!?!?
So, a couple of housekeeping items...
