Hi, I'm Cody. I am 31 and just starting to identify as a trans woman. I'm at the beginning of my journey and fearful of transition but hopeful at the same time. I need to be myself, so that's what I plan to do.
I don't have any support in person right now. And taking this on alone is daunting. I've been filled with self doubt the last three or so years, going back and forth on whether I should transition. It's just difficult without someone in your corner. But I know I need to move forward.
I would love to talk about how to make progress. I can't do this alone...
Dear Miss Cody:
(((( hug )))))))) I can’t give you much advice because at age 62 I am just beginning my journey but I am a wonderful friend! We can take our journey together holding hands! You are right dear we can’t do it alone!♥️
Hello Cody ,
Welcome to the site ,
I think you found the right place to share your journey as you start with your transition . I start my transition in my late 20's , in my very early 30's I was off for my surgery . Finding people for support is a challenge that are in your area , you don't have to go through your journey alone , here you are amoung friends and people who are here just for the purpose .

Welcome to Heaven, Cody! 🙂 I know how you feel, though I went through my transition in my 40's. However, I felt the need to change my gender seriously around 30. Anyway, enough about me. If you could use a friend, I'd be glad to give you whatever help that I can. You are among friends who understand your struggle. /gives you a welcoming warm hug. 🙂
Thanks all for the response! It really helps to have an open place to talk.

We are happy to have you with us. Many here have been where you are now in your journey. They are not easy waters to navigate, but it is entirely possible to do so. Many members have found that working with a therapist experienced in gender issues to be very helpful. The idea is to help you understand your own truths.
As you are in San Diego, have you contacted The Center https://thecentersd.org ? Within that organization is a program called Project TRANS. There may be some resources available to assist you.

As we are all different and respond in different ways, what frightens you about seeing a doctor? Also, what kind of doctor are you going to see? An endocrinologist, psychiatrist, etc.?
