I am Renske, 56 years married and 3 children.
For some time I have found out that I feel better as a woman than as a man.
I found out about this through crossdressing, it brought so many new feelings to me that I started thinking about this more and finally came to the conclusion that I am trans woman.
Although it is all still in its infancy, I am also still in the well-known closet, but I want to work on finding my way in this beautiful world of being trans, although it is certainly not all roses and moonshine.
So I hope to be able to find a lot of information here with my fellow trans people and hopefully also to make nice acquaintances if that turns out to be the case.
Greetings Renske.

Renske:
Happy that you found us!
Rest assured that your situation is not an uncommon one here. As the saying goes:
"You are not the first and you won't be the last."
It is appropriate to think of our lives as trans people in terms of a journey rather than a sprint. It is a journey that requires conscious thought and haste often attracts difficulty. Anyway, we do the best we can to move forward.
As a piece of information, many members have chosen to work with a therapist. They won't solve your problems for you, but they will help you understand what is going on and keep you focused on what needs consideration. However, be aware that every therapist does not have experience in gender issues. It is important to find someone who does.
Thanks for completing your Profile page. I often have to remind new members to do that, but it really does help others to understand your situation.
Also, if you would like to search for other members who may be near you, click on Social in the menu and then Member Directory...
