Hello everyone. I just joined as Polly Windsor, a name I picked on the spur of the moment. I’m 79, and I have been struggling for almost 69 of those years with my gender identity. I have lived as a male all my life, and only my wives (I have been married more than once) have known of my desire to cross dress. None of them, including my current wife, have supported me in exploring my true gender identity. Because my desire to cross dress has become more frequent and is accompanied recently by increasing thoughts of what it would be like to live full-time as a woman, I have decided finally to explore whether I am really a transgender woman or simply a man who likes to crossdress from time to time. I have retained a gender therapist to help me, and we are beginning our sessions later today. I’ve joined this site to further explore my true gender identity. Since I’m not sure yet whether I belong here, I hope my presence will not be considered an intrusion.
@pollyw You would never be an 'intrusion'. This is a great place to learn and grow, and communicate with other transgender folks to help us all grow and learn. Welcome to our humble environs....
