Hi all, please call me Lexx, i am right at beginning of journey to transition, don't know where to start, need to plan exit strategy and start afresh. This is affecting my mental state and starting to get me down a lot.

I am not always despondent especially when dressed in proper clothes and Lexx comes to the fore, but that is not often enough.

Hope to chat with some at sometime in future.

Happy Holidays btw xx

@lexx It can be VERY difficult to sort things out about of gender identity. The human mind wants to keep us in a safe and low stress mode, and subconsciously, this is what happens. To counteract this, many have found that working with a therapist is helpful. This can involve understanding the current situation, planning next steps, etc. Ultimately, there isn’t much point in starting to transition if your resolve is weakened by doubt.

Hi Lexx,

Hugs.I understand, yes, I believe it is safe to say we all understand) the, "that is not often enough," struggle. all too well  It's seems to a common part of our shared journey.

Hello Lexx,

Welcome to our TransGender Heaven (TGH) site: A Transgender Support Site. We are a wonderful, accepting, loving, helpful community where you can be safe and be yourself.

*We are an English Language Site. Therefore, it would be prefered that you converse in Engish for all general topics on the site.*

You can read about the knowledge and experiances of others on a similar path by reading articles and in the forums and chatting in chat rooms.

My hope is that you will become comfortable here and make many new friends.
Glad you are here. Looking forward to seeing you on the site.

Terri Anne, Ambassador

Hi Lexx,

Welcome!

You are safe here.

Let me echo what DeeAnn said and recommend you find a good therapist.  Gender Dysphoria can be quite a roller coaster ride and my daughter talked me into therapy.  Second best thing she's done for me (first is supporting my transition).  Talking things out with my therapist helps me work through my fears and anxieties and figure out what > I < want to do. My therapist does not judge me just asks me questions that make me think and decide what is right for me.  Just be open and honest.

You can ask us anything and we can tell you what works or doesn't work for us but having a good therapist on your side is invaluable.

Hope this helps.

Stay safe.

-joanne

Thank you for all your comments and welcome,  it is very much appreciated .

I have taken the step of contacting a couple of therapists over the Christmas period and will wait to see outcome and which one will suit me personally.

I feel positive and will be totally happy once current restrictions are lifted and able to express myself properly.

But thanks for having me here Trans Heart
