Hi all. My name is Kathryn. I really hope to make some friends here. I read some of your stories and it encourages me.
Hi Kathryn, I will be happy to be your friend.
Hello Kathryn,
Welcome to our TransgGender Heaven (TGH) site: A Wonderful, Accepting, Loving, Helpful Community where you can be safe and be yourself.
The Warmth, Compaasion and Hospitality of our community members can be found throughout the site.
You can read about the knowledge and experiances of others on a similar path by reading articles and in the forums and chatting in chat rooms.
My hope is that you will become comfortable here and make many new friends.

Thank you for your warm welcome. I am beginning to become more relaxed and welcome here.
Thank you so much. I could really use a friend. I'm a little bit frightened but I'm going to do my best to overcome it. Where do we start?
Kathryn:
Happy that you joined us! You mentioned being encouraged by reading the stories of others. To me, this is one example of the power of community. It is a way of letting us know what may be possible. Community also connects us. Members of this site are spread out all over the world, but what binds us is that the idea of gender for us isnβt what was originally thought.
Being a California transplant of 6 years, itβs alway nice to see someone else from these parts. Anyway, glad to have you!
I encourage you to complete your Profile page. It really helps others to understand your situation better. Further, it can be updated at any time.
One point to note is that the term transvestite has fallen out of favor here in the US. I canβt say why this is specifically, but it is the current state of affairs. The interesting contrast is that the term is still in widespread use in the UK. In his shows, Eddie Izzard often refers to himself as an Executive Transvestite. Quite the character!!
