Hi everyone. Im just recently realized that what I felt and how I am feeling was being trans. I am trying to figure out if i feel safe enough to transition or if now is the appropriate time. Im looking for some advice as well as some support. I am closeted atm. As well as if yall wouldn't mind helping me with picking a more permanent transition name the one i selected just doesn't seem to fit

Welcome Sarah! If you live in the US, now may not be a good time to come out. Some states, particularly Florida and North Carolina, it is just about forbidden. In other states, it's dubious.

As for appropriate time to come out, I think it is different for each of us. All I know regarding myself is I got to the point where my desire to be my girl self was bulging so badly inside of me it needed to be let out before I exploded in some way. It truly was becoming unhealthy for me to subdue who I wanted to be, who I really was/am.
