Glad you are here!

This is an open and welcoming community and we work to maintain that. Many wind up here because of difficult experiences outside of the community, lack of resources and not finding others with similar stories. I hope that you can find what you need here.

I suggest that you begin by telling us how things are going for you and what you’re struggling with...

I am struggling with getting support from my wife. I need help with doing my makeup and finding a wig. I come from a small redneck town and so i just recently just came out. But yet to go out my room dressed up. If anyone could help it would be very much appreciated.

There are areas of this site that are specifically for transitioning and issues related to the physical and emotional aspects.

However, are you considering transitioning at the moment? I don’t get the impression that this is the case. Anyway, I am a bit confused as to your situation.

For the time being, if you are looking to crossdress, I recommend our sister site, crossdresserheaven.com. There is a specific area called Fashion, Beauty and Makeup that might be of help. The is also an area for Wives and Significant Others Only if you think that may useful for your wife. So, check out the other site and see what works for you. In any event, we’ll still be here!

Hello Nicholas, welcome. From your brief introduction it seems like you still might be trying to decide if you are trans. As DeeAnn suggested you might be more interested in the Cross Dressing Site. If you could tell us more details about your gender history we may be able to direct you better. Either way explore the site and see if it helps you. And we are here to ask questions.

Not sure y u think I just want to crossdress. I have been trying to find someone that actually will support me and not make fun of me. I need help. I have felt like a woman in a man's body since I was like 4 or 5. I started stealing my sister's panties and stuff so I could wear them. Where I am from these rednecks make fun and beat ppl like me up so I have never had anyone to relate to or to be open with.I want to be a woman. And away from here

Good. Glad you stated what your situation really is because it was unclear.

Anyway, the reason I mentioned our sister site is, as I said, that we don’t have a specific section comparable to the “Fashion, Beauty and Makeup” section here. People ask presentation related questions, but they are a bit scattered here. That would likely make it harder to find the information that you are looking for.

People on TGH tend to talk more about the transitioning process and related issues and less about presentation. My guess is that they are looking to understand what is appropriate for them and to move forward with transition if that is indicated.

So, TGH is the place to discuss transition issues, but I suspect CDH will be easier to find more information about presentation. The 2 sites are parallel, but not interchangeable.

Finally, I suggest that working with a therapist with experience in gender issues would be helpful. Change is difficult for humans and subconsciously we often prevent ourselves from considering the issues that we really need to think about. Case in point is how we often avoid thinking about a difficult situation. We will come up with all sorts of activities that we “must” do before we can think about what we really need to think about...
