Hey, I’m Rowan. He/they, trans-masc nonbinary. I’m out to my parents for like two years and although it was a really negative experience for me at the beginning, it has slowly gotten better. My parents only ever call me “Row”, sometimes my dad calls me Rowan but my mom never does. She deadnames me pretty often, especially when she’s mad and I can’t correct her cause she’ll give out to me. Both of them always use she/her for me, and I don’t really know how to tell them not to. I also need some more masculine clothes, cause I’m financially dependant on them and I don’t have much money myself so I can’t really get clothes unless I ask them, and my mom won’t pay for men’s clothes and stuff. I just wish I knew how to talk to them without it being a huge deal and being really uncomfortable for me.
