Iβm not a veteran, but I think any topic that a group can rally around is a good thing. The trans community frequently has issues regarding isolation and this is a great way to work against that problem for those with a common background.
For the record, I had a relatively low draft number during the Viet Nam era and my classification went from 2S to 1Y to 4F.
