Hi girls,

Thanks Miriya!  This should be fun!  I've been doing my makeup for so long that I have no idea what my style is.  It certainly isn't for my age group, LOL!  I like smoky cat eyes, nicely arched eyebrows, blush and colorful but defined lips.

Take a look at my pics in my profile page and you can see what I do. All I know is the girls I work with think I look 15 to 20 years younger than I am, I will definitely go with that, which would put me in the Gen X group.

Hugs,

Ms. Lauren M

@reallylauren It is a really strange phenomenon, but we as transgender humans, lots of times get stuck in a time period of life. If you are in the younger past, you will look younger, it is more than just clothing and makeup, but an attitude. Same I have seen transgender people stuck in the older self of the last generation, you would not believe how many 50's something people I know who dress like a Silent Generation 80 year old grand ma.

@ellyd22 I worked hard but could never get to that level. Kevin started practicing on his sister.  I just use the mirror.  I have just a ton of makeup and costuming books and consult with them regularly. I'm currently experimenting with Graftobian Airbrush. Good luck to you Ellie.  Hugs,  Marg

I'm guessing that my dress and makeup is about one generation earlier than my physical age.  There are just things about it that I think look good.   As an example, I love the smoky eye makeup look.   I also love athleisure wear like leggings and I love my OTK boots!

Mee too, I love smoky eyes, have been doing them for years. The first one I did and it had me hooked on them back when I was a young adult was a simple brown on the lid and top 3/4 outer penciled lined in black with kohl rimming top and bottom. Not even a wing or anything, but used this as my signature eye for almost a decade. Sure I tried other stuff but this was my default mode.  You can not believe how many times my mom noticed and was like I think you are going to raves at night. She also told me my chapstick had too much color too as it stained my lips.  Oh I loved my mom.

I'm on the boomer /Gen X borderline.   I'm one of those girls who tends to dress younger to compensate for what I missed by not growing up as a girl.   I could have seen me being a sparkly, platform heeled disco queen!   Now I'm a leggings, skinny jeans (not giving them up!), chiffon dress and over the knee boots type of girl.
