We can all be a bit serious about or lot and our struggles so this is your chance to be a little light headed and tell us an amusing anecdot related to your journey.
I'll go first, who would have thought....
FYI I was in my early sixties. The week prior to my GRS I was getting my usual treatments at the local beauty parlour. My technician and I had become extremely friendly over the last 10 years and shared many personal experiences. She asked me if I was excited to be getting GRS to which I said I was. She then ask after the operation how long before I would be getting my periods. Without missing a beat I replied that unfortunately I was menopausal. I didn't have the heart to explain further 💔
That reminds me of when I had my breast augmentation. During the last visit to the surgeon before the actual surgery, he asked if I had any questions. I said no, but that I did have one request. I asked him to autograph his work when I come for my post op appointment. He agreed, and sure enough, during the post op appointment, he grabbed a sharpie and autographed my left breast. I took a picture of it when I got home and still have it to this day. Of course, I could never post it here, or I'd get in trouble; with myself. LOL
That's too funny Michelle. I bet he never had that request before, lol
Was on the bus one day heading out to meet friends , this little old lady sat down beside me . Afer awhile she tap me on the shoulder and asked me if I was one of those .... I said one of those ...she replied you changed sex . I told her I didn't change anything another having the right parts in place . She asked what I did " with it " after surgery . I told her I keep in a jar by my bed side , it's a b*tch to walk though and made a jiggling mention . She broke out in laughter !
Hi Alexis my name is Helen (newbie) I read your story about the lady on the bus and it did make me laugh. I am an aspiring "one of those" I am happy to admit to being one of those but it is not at all easy . Just saying hello because I poked your sense of humour.
