What types of mood disorders will I possibly suffer from during my transition?

Good question, when you start HRT and your estrogen or testosterone begins to drop it can make you feel fatigued and just  sorta meh,  anxiety is another one which is where you might have second thoughts or you'll feel that progression isn't happening or everyone is staring at you, depression can be a factor as your lifestyle and personnel choices may change. There is no real big list of disorders as everyone deals with hormones differently. I would encourage you to have a strong circle of friends and support and use this forum as well, there are tons of credible resources available online for issues with transitioning. Transitioning can be scary as you are changing your life but it can be rewarding because you are finally becoming you, the person that you want to be.

Hi Christina, I have transitioned socially and now live and work as a woman. Due to having heart surgery last year I am not able to do HRT. I can tell you that you will experience many mood changes and get very emotional at times and this is not a "disorder", it is a natural response to all we are going through and experiencing as we transition.
The reality is there will be many things that change because you are transitioning, these will affect you and all those around you. Due to the possible responses and reactions from all those who know you, including friends and family, they, and you can expect to experience a literal emotional roller coaster of ups and downs. This can, and quite possibly will, include joy, sadness, happiness, sorrow, elation, grief, anger, disappointment, and feeling despondent at times. In the end it is all worth it as you find and experience the ultimate thrill and joy of being the person you were actually born to be.

I wish you all the best, big hugs,

Ms. Lauren M
