I received an email today announcing the merger of the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) and the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF). We know these as stalwarts of transgender rights organization arena.

"The merger, which will happen this summer, unites two highly effective trans rights organizations with complementary strengths into a single powerful force on behalf of trans people in America.

The National Center for Transgender Equality and the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund combined have 40 years of experience on the frontlines of advocacy. NCTE is the leading voice in Washington, D.C. for trans rights, while TLDEF is the leading legal advocate for transgender people facing discrimination.

Advocates for Trans Equality will work tirelessly to uplift the needs of the trans community and ensure trans people have a real opportunity to participate and succeed in American life. Leading the new organization will be Andy Marra, the current Executive Director of TLDEF, and Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen, the current Executive Director of NCTE. Andy will serve as CEO, and Rodrigo as Executive Director. All staff are keeping their jobs, providing the combined organization with a deep bench of talent."

These organizations along with recent/upcoming survey reports are going to help fight the unequal political agendas, especially from the states (20 states with hurtful laws). It's sad to see young life so badly controlled by politicians rather than parents that know best. How can you not call it discrimination to those politicians (ones that do not listen to the medical facts). LGBTQ+ people are going to vote and laws are going to change.

@michellelarsen1 Glad to hear it.  I think they will be busy the next few years.
