Thanks for your reply. It begins with my time at University; the phrase I’ve heard is ” a classical education”. I think that the fact that I’m of Irish ancestry, although I ID as Jewish, contributes. I like the civility of the place; true, one doesn’t have to read much to see traces of homo/transphobia
