Reply To: Mood disorders…

Hi Christina, I have transitioned socially and now live and work as a woman. Due to having heart surgery last year I am not able to do HRT. I can tell you that you will experience many mood changes and get very emotional at times and this is not a “disorder”, it is a natural response to all we are going through and experiencing as we transition.
The reality is there will be many things that change because you are transitioning, these will affect you and all those around you. Due to the possible responses and reactions from all those who know you, including friends and family, they, and you can expect to experience a literal emotional roller coaster of ups and downs. This can, and quite possibly will, include joy, sadness, happiness, sorrow, elation, grief, anger, disappointment, and feeling despondent at times. In the end it is all worth it as you find and experience the ultimate thrill and joy of being the person you were actually born to be.

I wish you all the best, big hugs,

Ms. Lauren M
