I am familiar with the Buffalo Belles. I attended social gatherings of a group that met monthly in a bar in Rochester for all of 2015. A few of the Belles would visit sometimes. There was also a group that met twice a month in Geneva. I also attended those for about 6 months before I retired and relocated to Southern California at the beginning of 2016. That one was more of a support group. Both were open to crossdressers and trans people.
Since I left, I have no idea of what happened to any of the groups.
