I think that is what I’d wish for even now.  A group of friends to share the experience and learning with.  I know 7 people in this area, 5 of them are a family, and the oldest girl in the family is transgender who transitioned a couple decades ago.  The other two people are friends of Jill, the trans girl.  I feel very along and often lost.
