Happy to have you here! It is important to remember that every journey has a starting point. Sounds like you have put some thought into how things sit for you and that is a good thing. Having access to a therapist will help further that self discovery.
I think there is something profound in what you said about your experience with the binder. I had a similar epiphany when I wore a dress for the first time in public. While I was a bit anxious about being seen by someone I knew from work, I felt surprisingly comfortable. Eventually I came to realize that it was one of those moments that truly informs us.
I agree with not starting to transition during school. I suspect it would be quite a distraction at a time when distractions wouldn’t be good. Hopefully the therapist can help you work through that.
For the time being, I suspect that the support group is not meeting in person, so that should make things easier for you to attend. I am part of a lesbian chat group and we haven’t met in person for close to a year.
