Finding a trangender counselor and joining TGH are important steps to help you on your journey. I believe it’s especially important to befriend and talk to other girls. There will be a lot of ups and downs on your journey. Having a network of friends can make things a lot easier. The girls here on TGH will be happy to lend an ear whenever you want to chat. I would encourage you to also seek friends that are local to you – that you can meet face to face. Socializing with other trans women fills a gap that can’t be filled online. The member directory can help with that. There may also be some LGBTQ support groups near you that would be worth contacting.
