A little help

Hi, I’m Sandy. I’m new to all of this. 47 years old and still coming to terms with my identity. I joined this group to meet other like-minded individuals and develop friendships. I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I’m currently dieting, since February. I’m not terribly tall, only 5’9″ but I’m down from 230 lbs. to 169. My goal is to be 145 lbs – slim enough to wear some of the outfits I see some of you wearing here. I’ve got broad shoulders. Does anyone have any outfit, clothing, or shapewear suggestions for someone with an upside down triangle shape, broad shoulders, narrow hips? Thanks!

This may provide some useful information:

As you have probably noticed, we don’t have a dedicated fashion and makeup section. However, our sister site, Crossdresser Heaven, does. You might have a look over there for some additional insights.

I encourage you to complete your Profile page as it provides useful information for other members and helps them understand your situation. It will always be readily available and can be updated at any time.

      For what to wear.

draw attention from your shoulders to your hip area. If you have cleavage to work with the neckline can be another option.

So look at tops with v and u shapes. Avoid any spaghetti straps and open shoulder styles. Look for longer, flowy sleeves. Look for “peplum” blouses they have a sort of  flaring skirt at the bottom. This pulls the eye away from the shoulders. I like them because they are just so feminine.

skirts like skater, flared, layered, ballerina… and use your brighter more eycatching colors here.
Dresses are similar, you want to flare from the hips. But remember to pay attention to neckline, shoulder and sleeves.

      hope that gets you started
