Ive just recently come out to my parents. They were my white whale and now I’ve never felt more comfortable admitting that my little personality traits that i let slip and deny, are actually the real me. And the feeling of wearing what i want without multiple layers to hide it is unbelievably freeing. What a trip this has been.

Hi – I’m no longer young but I think my parents in the day 1960’s new I had a desire to be a girl and of course they both were born in the 1920’s so it really was an impossible situation but at least 2021 times have changed and just be who you feel you are – it’s a large heavy load to carry the gender bender crap and unfortunately not all care for your well being if your soul feels different from what is expected by society – once your honest with your self that heavy load to bare the bits and pieces fall off and the load becomes lightened – look after your self 1 st no matter what – start enjoying who you really feel you are and love your self , not what’s expected – XO – Krystal

Glad you were able to do what you needed to do. While it is a mountain to climb, we often make it seem taller that it really is.

From my own experience, the realization that you don’t have to carry around that baggage any more is VERY liberating. It is also represents energy that you can repurpose and use it towards something useful as opposed to keeping your secret and covering your tracks.

      Hi Jeff…

That’s awesome that you had the Talk with your parents… how did it go?

Telling my parents is something I could never do. 😕

It came up in conversation as we were talking about my daughter who is in the same boat as me. She came out a couple of years ago, and helped give me the courage to be more open about me.

the overall interaction with my parents was great, just like every other day. I even got a call the next day to come over and help with a project they’re working on.
