As we know, the sexuality of trans people can be all over the place, just like cis people. So, in that vein, I know that there are some trans women here who identify as lesbian. There is an organization that you may not know about:

Old Lesbians Organizing for Change (OLOC)
    https://oloc.org/

    From their site:

From 2008 OLOC History in one paragraph!

In 1989, OLOC, Old Lesbians Organizing for Change, was conceived as a way to utilize the unique experiences of Lesbians at l east 60 years of age, to challenge ageism within our own community, within the larger women’s community and within society at large. Since its inception, OLOC has formed a network of Old Lesbians all over the country, keeping us connected through our quarterly newsletter, The Reporter. To help enlighten and motivate readers about ageism and its ef fects on everyone, especially Old Lesbians, OLOC authored and published a groundbreaking document entitled The Facilitator’s Handbook:Confronting Ageism and subtitled Consciousness Raising for Lesbians 60 andOver. OLOC now holds a National Gathering every other year, where Old Lesbians from all over the country come together to learn more and strengthen the bonds between us. Today, OLOC continues to act as a force for change, with strong participation and new chapters forming all across the country.

DeeAnn, while that doesn’t look to be up my alley, I’m glad to see there are organizations and groups out there that do support that. Definitely some information to keep in our tool bags. Thanks, Michelle

Yes, they do good things, but they are not a high profile group. They don’t have a legal team. They’re not on TV discussing public policy. I’d be willing to bet that the vast majority of members here have never heard of them before. That’s unfortunate as the members that I know seem to have a good mindset: building the community, supporting the community and taking care of our own. All good qualities…
