On HRT for the last 3 months, probably around 12 months away from switching in public life, counting the seconds. 47 years old, the journey to get here has been long, but, despite knowing I will never “pass” I don’t see gender as a test. I am not excited about the little everyday skirmishes that will happen, as I tried to start transitioning a few years ago and had my career destroyed by it, setting me back a fair bit.
Anyhow, hoping to make some friends to share the journey.

OMG, an Irish girl. Now I know someone else on this big blue marble…… 47 years old and 3 months….. Hmm. I remember 62 and 3 months. LOL Selene, you have a wonderful, long, exciting journey ahead of you. And what’s this ‘never pass’ stuff? You are correct, there is no guidebook, or test at the end. You make the decision as to whether or not you pass; to your criteria. Last I checked, it was your life, and your heart, and your body, and your life. There are no ‘do overs’ so you get one chance to do it as it best works for you. So hang in there, and enjoy your journey. Michelle
