Glad that you found us! I trust that being here will be helpful for your journey.

I would suggest that you see if there are any trans support or social groups in your area. Being able to spend time with ones peers really helps to prevent feelings of isolation. Here in the US many LGBT centers have been doing online gatherings since the pandemic. That can make a big difference regarding time and transportation issues.

I also suggest that you complete your Profile page as it really helps other members to understand what your situation is. Your page will always be readily available and can be updated at any time.

I was looking at this thread again and I noticed something. Gay people don’t use the term “sexual preference”. In effect it means that while you prefer one thing, you could also do something else. The term used these days is “sexual orientation”.

Similarly, for trans people, we don’t think in terms of “gender preference”. We say “gender identity”.

Hi Jens,

I am in the same boat. Trying to balance real life with who I am. My biggest problem is I am autistic and Mask. I have been doing it for so long some times it is hard to know whats me and what is a mask 🙁
