My marriage with my wife has not been hurt since I transitioned. Now 44,I was 25 at the time when I finally came out.My wife Katie saw I was hurting inside and it was into our 2nd year of our marriage. She was pregnant with our 2nd son at the time and we were watching TV at the time.I told her I needed to come out about something. Finally told her I am transgender and she decided to stay by my side. Was there when I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria.Let me make the decisions with her support, decided to transition. It was after my 2nd son was born, started my transition and she saw me become much happier and knew I was not suffering anymore.Supported me through it even when I had my breast augmentation and trachea shave.Still supports my decision not to have the grs.Says she does not miss the unhappy me that passed.I am her going to the nail salon and shopping buddy to this day too
