So far I have not seen an AFAB person state that they are, indeed, intellectually and strategically inferior to men.
“Open” competitions? Sounds like Separate But Equal.

Hi DeeAnn, I completely agree with you! The transphobes are becoming more asinine by the day! In the UK they now want to ban gender neutral bathrooms in order to ensure that all bathrooms are “safe places” for women… What on earth are they going to come up with next? I’m horrified to even ask…

Typically, when people throw out this BS, they never mention intersex people. Reason being that it doesn’t fit and things break down at that point. Unsurprisingly, they can’t make the logic work and that’s a tell-tale.

FIDE says that players have to provide sufficient proof of their gender change that complies with their national laws and regulations. This to me is a “get out of jail free” card for FIDE.
Presumably, they’re letting each nation’s human rights laws determine who gets to play chess. However, other sports governing bodies have stricter rules that clash with national laws. In Canada, for example, we my NOT be able to host some sporting events since many now excluded trans women from competing as women. Canadian human rights laws protect one’s gender identiy and gender expression which could mean that FIDE will comply with our laws, but I’m not holding my breath.
I say to the all sports governing bodies who ban trans women from cometing as women, “Good Riddence!!”.
