A Touch of Vanity

Vesta, the proprieter, has transformed the space (it used to be a blue-hair salon, in the elderly sense — no offense to blue-haired people of any age, I’m just sayin’) into a stylish retro-funky haven for the soon-to-be-shorn who are looking for a little eye-candy and conversation whilst getting their locks trimmed and/or rearranged.  You would think that the place would be frequented almost exclusively by the punky-haired mesh-stockinged set of either gender, but the clientele appear to run the gamut from moms with youngsters in tow to even a few of the afore-mentioned seniors who either don’t mind the re-vamping of their once-familiar salon or just don’t have the energy left to find a new place (I’ll assume the former).  Engage Vesta in conversation about movies or the latest celebrity scandal and you’ll find that she’s not quite as aloof as she might appear upon first meeting.

We are a small independent salon and are open mostly by appointment.
