Bran Castle is a castle in Bran, 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Brașov. It is a national monument and landmark in Transylvania. The fortress is on the Transylvanian side of the historical border with Wallachia, on road DN73. Commonly known outside Transylvania as Dracula’s Castle, it is often referred to as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. There is no evidence that Stoker knew anything about this castle, which has only tangential associations with Vlad the Impaler, voivode of Wallachia, the putative inspiration for Dracula. Stoker’s description of Dracula’s crumbling fictional castle also bears no Open Listing

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the Victorian Era through the eyes of the Kelton family. Built in 1852, this historic landmark incorporates elements of the Greek Revival and Italianate styles and was part of the Underground Railroad. Rooms are decorated to display the style and materials that were available during this time period; most of the furnishings that visitors see were owned by the Kelton family. The gardens feature statuary, lattice work, hedges and diverse plant specimens that demonstrate a Victorian sensibility. The Palm Springs Air Museum is a living history museum dedicated to educating the public about the role Air Power played in preserving American liberties and way of life. The Museum preserves, exhibits, and flies aircraft from World War Two, Korean War, Vietnam War and the Global War on Terror. A good portion of the aircraft in the collection are in flyable condition. In addition to flyable and static aircraft, the Museum uses permanent and temporary exhibits, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources to perpetuate American History.
