Support groups for transgender women, crossdressers, transsexuals and others on a journey of gender discovery.
PFLAG is best known for local support groups, and they remain the heart of PFLAG’s work in communities. Particularly in rural states, PFLAG is often the only source of information about homosexuality and gender identity, and the only regular support for those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender or care about someone who is. As an organization that believes that change happens on the grassroots level in local communities, it is PFLAG’s top priority to support the work of local affiliates. We meet on the third Sunday of every month, unless otherwise noted, at First Lutheran Church in Downtown Open Listing
PFLAG is working to make sure that all people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer are not only valued by society, but take pride in and value themselves. We do this through providing peer-to-peer support, educating people on the issues that are important to the community, and advocating for inclusive policies and laws. Family support and acceptance is critical to the health and well being of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer…and PFLAG has been at the forefront of this work for over four decades.
