Founded in 2008, by Jesse Pack later joined by Chastity Bowick, Transgender Emergency Fund is the only organization dedicated to supporting low income and homeless Transgender individuals in Massachusetts. The Transgender Emergency Fund assists with homelessness prevention, shelter assistance, nutrition assistance, prescription co-pay assistance, transportation and escort to medical appointments, etc. All services are contingent on the availability of funds. The Transgender Emergency Fund is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization and is operated solely on donations. Open Listing

Organized in 1998, the Transgender Foundation of America (TFA) is a Houston-based grass-roots nonprofit organization that obtained its 501c3 nonprofit status in 2001. TFA was brought into existence through the hard work and support its parent organization, the Gulf Coast Transgender Community (GCTC) which traces its roots back to 1965. In addition to TFA, GCTC was instrumental in organizing pioneering organizations like the Texas Association for Transsexual Support (TATS) and events like the International Conference on Transgender Law and Employment Policy. GCTC’s spirit lives on in the TFA mission of improving the quality of life for transgender people. Open Listing

Transgender Community Coalition and Transgender Health and Wellness Center are two sister organizations with a similar mission statement as to put the needs of the transgender, intersex, and gender diverse community first. These two symbiotic organizations work in congruence with each other to achieve total health and wellness for this underserved community. Transgender Health and Wellness Center offers medical treatment for gender dysphoria such as laser hair removal and electrolysis as well as mental health, while the Transgender Community Coalition offers the wrap-around services such as crisis and case management, pet assistance, navigation to health care and more! Connecticut! CTAC in conjunction with Betsy Driver and Janet Green of Bodies Like Ours held a highly visible and effective demonstration regarding an Intersex Surgery that was planned to be performed at the CT Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. The current CTAC Logo was designed by Reverend George A. Chien, pastor of the Hartford MCC church. He designed the current logo as part of the design for Connecticut’s second annual Transgender Day of Remembrance. Ct TransAdvocacy is now officially a 501c(3) for we received our determination letter from the IRS on the same day the ordinance was passed in Hartford! Open Listing
SRachel Crandall Crocker, LMSW, Executive Director and Co-founder, is a licensed psychotherapist specializing in transgender issues. She is also an international transgender activist, and the founder and organizer of the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Ms. Crandall has consulted for corporations, government agencies, and universities. She runs the Transgender Michigan help line which is the first transgender help line in the US. Susan Crocker, EA, Operations Director & Co-founder, is responsible for the daily running of Transgender Michigan, from maintaining the website to paying the bills.
