Shoals Diversity Center

The Shoals Diversity Center envisions a future where the Shoals LGBTQ+ community experiences equality and is included as full members of society at home, work, and socially.

We do this by inspiring individuals as well as communities to support, advocate, and connect with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community at large. Our non-profit organization is dedicated to empowering and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in Florence, Alabama. From mental health support groups to LGBTQ+ church weddings, we offer a range of services and resources to help individuals live their best lives with pride and dignity. Join us in our mission to create a more inclusive and accepting society.

We offer in-person support groups and private online chat groups for mental health support for all LGBTQ+ individuals in Northwest Alabama. We raise money for local grants that pay for professional counseling on a referral basis to local licensed professional counselors in the Shoals.
