Café de Oude Wacht is a bustling café that has been a household name in the city of Groningen since 1955. The café is located on Gedempte Zuiderdiep and previously served as a waiting area for bus passengers; the bus station was right outside. Today, Café de Oude Wacht is an authentic brown café with a very contemporary, professional approach. The café distinguishes itself by the great emphasis on delivering quality and on the commitment and expertise of the staff, matters that appeal to a large fixed audience.
