One of the things that unfortunately happens to trans people is a feeling of isolation. While it can happen anywhere, it is often particularly prevalent for people living in smaller towns. Even though there are likely other trans people in the towns, they may be closeted due to a fear of consequences in places where “everyone knows everything”. Letting people know that there are other trans people who are accessible, and providing a means to connect, is a very important part of this site.
