Whitman-Walker Health is a community health center in Washington, DC, that specializes in health care for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities and those living with HIV/AIDS. This group is for individuals across the gender spectrum and in any stage of transitioning. The focus of the group is to promote social support and wellbeing for transgender, gender non-conforming, or gender queer adults. The LGBTQ+ Center provides programming and academic resources for WVU students, faculty, staff, and community members. Situated in Academic Affairs and reporting to the Office of the Provost, we help enact the academic mission of the modern land grant university. We support the university’s educational social justice efforts through trainings, classes, and advocacy on WVU campuses and across the state. Attention to LGBTQ-related inequities also requires addressing all aspects of inequality, including homophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, ableism, and more. The story of Wyoming Equality (WE) began in 1987 when a group of gay and lesbian Wyomingites in Cheyenne and Laramie planned an annual camping trip called Rendezvous. They sought to create a space where they could be authentic, welcomed, and enjoy the outdoors in their home state. A year later this group renamed from G&L Group to the United Gays and Lesbians of Wyoming (UGLW). They found an eager community ready to advocate for LGBTQ equality and began distributing quarterly newsletters called United Voice. While no longer handwritten, WE continues to send out this informative and popular newsletter to Open Listing
Xpressions is primarily a social and support group dedicated to serving the wider trans community and its allies in southern Ontario and beyond. Xpressions is in its 25th year and is a social and support group dedicated to serving the crossdressing and wider transgender community. We are about friendship and community. We have a variety of activities during the year from hosted monthly dinners in various venues in the GTA and out Annual Gala in December. These activities require you to become a member of Xpressions with the exception of Pub nights are open to all. The membership is only Open Listing

Youth In Need has been serving the greater St. Louis area since 1974, when volunteers reached out to the agency’s first client. A teenage runaway, who left her home after another beating, was picked up on the streets and taken to the local jail with adult criminals. Troubled by the community’s response to runaway and homeless teens, volunteers changed the way these teens were treated by opening Youth In Need’s Emergency Shelter. Today, more than 400 full- and part-time staff serve more than 8,000 of the area’s most vulnerable children, teens and families at nearly 100 locations in six counties in Open Listing

At YouthLink, we recognize that homelessness is not a final destination. We connect youth to a community of resources and help them discover pathways that get them where they want to go. YouthLink is a nonprofit in downtown Minneapolis that helps young people between the ages of 16 and 24 on their journeys from homeless to hopeful.
