There is another factor to consider. Threads sink to the bottom fairly quickly as new threads are added. The threads are not deleted, but some digging is required to find them. Practically speaking, it becomes Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind. As time passes, it becomes less likely that people will stumble across a given thread. Some active threads have been around for a long time. One dealing with breast forms was originally created a few years back, but it is a topic that has broad interest. Threads like that are exceptions to what usually happens here.
Usually I have to remind new members to complete their Profile page, but I don’t have to do that for you! Thanks!! Anyway, the Profile page will always be readily accessible and can be updated at any time. It lets others know what is going on with you, problems, triumphs and revelations. In that sense, it can be used as a way to capture some important things about your progress.
