Last year I gave a speech for International Women’s Day. When I started to write it, I realized that it was the perfect opportunity to tell my story in its entirety. But, underneath that is the thought process is that I am willing to share what I know, what I’ve done, what I’ve seen and what I’ve experienced. I used to be pretty closed off about many things, but that doesn’t help anyone; me included. I won’t say that I’m always right, and no one ever is, but it is important to me if I can help smooth someone’s path a bit or help reduce their worries and fears. I count that as a Win/Win.
