I see that you live in Ohio. I’m originally from Toledo, but I escaped in 1990. Since then I’ve lived in Joliet, Corning NY and now the SoCal desert after retirement. Also embedded in there was 6 years in Taiwan.

Yes, it is common here to read about members in relatively remote areas that don’t have any support within a reasonable distance. Isolation is a VERY real issue.
